Chicago Fire FC is set to face Toronto FC on March 15, 2025, at BMO Field in Toronto. The match marks the second leg of a three-game road trip for Chicago, following their first win of the 2025 MLS regular season.
Historically, Chicago has played against Toronto FC 39 times since the Canadian team joined MLS in 2007. The Fire holds a record of 12 wins, 14 losses, and 13 draws against Toronto. In recent encounters during the 2024 season, Chicago secured a decisive 4-1 victory at BMO Field and drew 1-1 at SeatGeek Stadium.
Toronto will be celebrating its home opener for the third time this year and will rely on Italian attacker Federico Bernardeschi, who has already contributed one goal and one assist this season. Despite this challenge, Chicago remains confident due to their undefeated streak against Toronto over five matches since 2022.
Chicago's recent performance includes a comeback victory against FC Dallas where they scored three goals after the 80th minute. This achievement was noted as a first in club history by Major League Soccer. Forward Hugo Cuypers has been instrumental in these efforts with three goals scored early in the season.
Additionally, Leonardo Barroso made an impressive debut by scoring his first goal within six minutes of entering his professional match against FC Dallas.
The game will kick off at BMO Field at 1:30 p.m. CT and can be viewed globally on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV or listened to locally through wlsam.com (English) and Que Buena 105.1 (Spanish).
