Coach Gregg Berhalter has announced two changes to the starting lineup that recently secured a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC. Leonardo Barroso will start for the first time, replacing Jonathan Dean who is out due to injury. Sam Williams will take Brian Gutiérrez's spot in the midfield as Gutiérrez is currently with the U.S. Men’s National Team.
Williams will join Mauricio Pineda and Sergio Oregel, Jr., both of whom are Homegrown players, in the midfield. Chris Brady continues as goalkeeper for his fifth start this season, seeking his third win and first clean sheet of the year.
Jack Elliott will captain the team again, partnering with Sam Rogers in defense for their fourth consecutive game together. Andrew Gutman completes the backline alongside Barroso, Elliott, and Rogers.
Hugo Cuypers aims to maintain his scoring streak after netting four goals in three matches. He will play alongside wingers Jonathan Bamba and Philip Zinckernagel.
Unavailable players include Chase Gasper (lower body), Kellyn Acosta (lower body), David Poreba (lower body), Omari Glasgow (international duty), Chris Mueller (not due to injury), along with Dean and Gutiérrez.
