Chicago Fire FC secured a 3-1 victory against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place in Vancouver, marking their third consecutive road win. Hugo Cuypers opened the scoring for Chicago just 52 seconds into the match with his fifth goal of the season. Philip Zinckernagel and Rominigue Kouamé also found the net, each scoring their first goals of the season.

Vancouver responded in the 14th minute with a goal from Daniel Ríos, assisted by Jayden Nelson and Liam MacKenzie. The match remained tied until Zinckernagel's goal in the 61st minute gave Chicago the lead once again. Kouamé sealed the win for Chicago with a late goal in stoppage time.

The victory was significant for Chicago as it marked their best start to a season since 2008 and set a club record for most goals scored through the opening five games of a season. The team now looks forward to facing CF Montréal at Soldier Field on March 29.

"Making his first appearance in MLS in the 87th minute, midfielder Rominigue Kouamé became the second player in 2025 to score in his Fire debut," noted a spokesperson from Chicago Fire FC Communications.

Chicago's next challenge will be against New York Red Bulls, where they aim to tie their club record for consecutive road victories.
