Chicago Fire FC played to a 1-1 draw against CF Montréal in their recent match at Soldier Field. The home team's winger, Philip Zinckernagel, scored his second consecutive goal of the season, assisted by Andrew Gutman and Jonathan Bamba. Chicago opened the scoring in the 40th minute when Bamba sent a backheel pass to Gutman, who then crossed the ball to a waiting Zinckernagel, who scored from the top of the six-yard box.

The visitors responded quickly after the restart. In the 50th minute, Luca Petrasso found Dante Sealy on the right, leading to Sealy's first-time volley beating goalkeeper Chris Brady, leveling the match. Despite a few attempts by CF Montréal to take the lead, a solid performance by Brady, who made six saves, ensured the game ended in a tie.

Chicago Fire FC maintains an unbeaten streak over five matches, the first occurrence since 2023. Goalkeeper Chris Brady's performance brought him to nine career games with six saves or more. Jonathan Bamba's assist marked his fourth of the season, tying him for first in the league.

The Fire will next play the New York Red Bulls on April 5th at Sports Illustrated Stadium. The match will be available for viewing on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and on local radio stations.

Chicago stayed with the same starting lineup as their previous match, for the first time since a game against New York City FC in July 2024.

Attendance for the match was 16,278, and referee duties were handled by Elijio Arreguin with assistance from Jose Da Silva, Adam Garner, Ismir Pakmic, David Barrie, and Joshua Patlak.
