Chicago Fire FC's Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has announced the Starting XI as they seek their first home victory of the season. They have made three adjustments from the previous match. Homegrown defender Christopher Cupps will make his first Major League Soccer start. Having debuted in the 76th minute against Nashville, he becomes the youngest starter in club history. Jonathan Dean returns to the Starting XI after a hiatus since the win against Toronto FC on March 15. Jack Elliott, donning the captain's armband, and Andrew Gutman complete the defense lineup.
Sergio Oregel, Jr. returns to the midfield for his 10th start, alongside Homegrown players Mauricio Pineda and Brian Gutiérrez, reaching their fourth joint appearance of the season. Goalkeeper Chris Brady, also a Homegrown player, will aim for his second clean sheet at Soldier Field and his first against Orlando City SC.
Forward Hugo Cuypers, with seven goals, holds a shared league top scorer position with Philadelphia Union’s Tai Baribo. The team hopes he will seize the lead with an additional goal tonight. Supporting Cuypers are wingers Philip Zinckernagel and Jonathan Bamba, second in MLS assists with five.

Reserve options comprise goalkeeper Jeff Gal; defenders Sam Rogers and Omar González; midfielders Rominigue Kouamé, Maren Haile-Selassie, Omari Glasgow, Sam Williams, Dje D’Avilla; and forward Tom Barlow.
