FOIA Request to Chicago State University Regarding Chinese National Students on May 14, 2025.

As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we have submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Chicago State University. This request seeks detailed information about the university's current Chinese National students, their departmental affiliations, and scholarship details.

Specifically, we have requested documents or lists showing all current students who are Chinese Nationals and their respective departments. If privacy concerns prevent sharing individual names, we have asked for the total number of such students broken down by department.

Additionally, we are seeking information on scholarships received by these students. This includes the amount of each scholarship and the source from which it originates. We have also requested details about any scholarships granted by entities affiliated with the Chinese Scholarship Council.

Furthermore, we are interested in understanding how the university safeguards its intellectual property and confidential information concerning all students, including Chinese Nationals. Therefore, we have asked for any policies or procedures that outline these protective measures.
