Chicago Fire FC II is set to face Carolina Core FC for the first time at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina, on Saturday night. The match follows Chicago's recent 2-2 draw against New England Revolution II at SeatGeek Stadium. In that game, Jean Alpha Diouf scored his fourth goal of the season for Chicago after a weather delay. A penalty save by Patrick Los and a goal from Claudio Cassano secured the draw.

Carolina Core FC is currently on a four-game unbeaten streak, having recently defeated Orlando City B with a goal from Jathan Juarez and a clean sheet by goalkeeper Alex Sutton. This will be only the second meeting between the two teams; their last encounter ended in a 2-1 victory for Chicago in 2024.

The match will feature Trip Fleming, who has been influential since signing his first professional contract with Chicago Fire II earlier this year. Fleming has played extensively with both the Chicago Fire Academy and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before joining the team professionally.

Saturday's game will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT and can be streamed globally via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
