The Cook County Sheriff's Office recently shared several updates via their social media platform, covering topics from professional engagements to community safety initiatives and holiday greetings.

On July 3, 2025, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced that its Police Organized Retail Crime team had participated in the National Retail Federation Conference held in Dallas. "In addition to having a booth for the expo, Commander Michael Ware participated in a panel discussion highlighting our organized retail crime strategy."

Later that day, on July 3, 2025, the office reported on a roadside safety checkpoint conducted by the Cook County Sheriff’s Police. The event took place in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood and focused on enforcing compliance with state laws related to driver’s licenses, vehicle registration requirements, seat belts, and child restraints. "Cook County Sheriff’s Police conducted a roadside safety checkpoint last week in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood. Officers focused on ensuring motorists complied with state laws regarding driver’s licenses, vehicle registration requirements, seat belts, and child restraints."

On July 4, 2025, the Cook County Sheriff's Office extended their holiday wishes to the public through social media. "Happy Fourth of July from the Cook County Sheriff's Office."

Commander Michael Ware is part of the Cook County Sheriff's Police Organized Retail Crime team which plays an essential role in combating retail crime.
