Steve Cortes, founder of the League of American Workers, announced on X that he has released a new documentary about former President Barack Obama, which premiered on July 20.

"You Don't Know Barack: Exposing Obama," said Cortes. "My newest documentary. Who is Obama, really — and why does it matter today??? Coming this Sunday, released here and at http://CortesInvestigates.com."

Recent media projects have revisited Barack Obama’s legacy. According to PBS, documentaries such as "Inside Obama’s Presidency" and "America’s Great Divide: From Obama to Trump" explore his administration’s impact on U.S. politics. These films highlight how his policies influenced polarization and international diplomacy while framing his tenure in a historical context. This renewed interest underscores Obama’s lasting influence.

Netflix reported that the 2023 series "Working: What We Do All Day," narrated by Barack Obama, attracted approximately 2.3 million viewers in its first six weeks and later exceeded 3.3 million total views during the year. These figures reflect steady interest in political figures leading documentary projects and show Obama's continued cultural resonance, as noted by Wikipedia.

A February 2025 Gallup poll found Barack Obama with a 59% favorability rating, making him the most popular living former president, ahead of Joe Biden at 39% and Donald Trump at 48%. Politico reported that this data demonstrates Obama's enduring cross-party appeal years after leaving office.

Cortes, leader of the League of American Workers, previously served as Senior Spokesman for Trump’s 2016 and 2020 campaigns and later as National Spokesman for Ron DeSantis’s 2024 Political Action Committee (PAC). He spent 25 years in financial markets and became a frequent political commentator on CNN, Fox News, and CNBC. His Georgetown education and media experience have shaped his populist voice, according to Key Speakers Bureau.
