Chicago Fire FC winger Philip Zinckernagel has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for the second consecutive week, following his performance in a 3-2 comeback win over St. Louis CITY SC at SeatGeek Stadium. Zinckernagel scored and assisted during the match, marking his sixth selection to the Team of the Matchday this season.

With Chicago trailing 2-1, Zinckernagel started the comeback with a goal in the 67th minute. Later, he set up Brian Gutiérrez for the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. "With St. Louis up 2-1, the Danish winger started the Fire comeback with a spectacular run toward goal that ended in a 67th minute equalizer. Later, he drew multiple defenders at the top of the box before laying off to Gutiérrez, who took a touch before rifling a shot that snuck past the glove of goalkeeper Roman Bürki and into the net, completing Chicago’s comeback victory," according to Chicago Fire FC Communications.

This marks Zinckernagel's fourth appearance in the Starting XI this season and his sixth overall selection, having previously been recognized for performances on Matchdays 28, 21, and 7 in addition to two bench selections on Matchdays 17 and 25.

Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez was named to the Team of the Matchday bench after scoring Chicago's decisive goal against St. Louis CITY SC. This is Gutiérrez's third time being named to an MLS Team of the Matchday this year; he previously made starting appearances on Matchdays 1 and 14.

The rest of this week's MLS Team of the Matchday includes Marcus Ingvartsen (SD), Rafael Navarro (COL), Son Heung-Min (LAFC), Lionel Messi (MIA), Pavel Bucha (CIN), Evander (CIN), Jordi Alba (MIA), Tim Ream (CLT), Dylan Nealis (RBNY), Kristijan Kahlina (CLT) as goalkeeper, and Mikey Varas (SD) as coach. The bench features Carlos Coronel (RBNY), Luca Petrasso (MTL), Artur (HOU), Mark Delgado (LAFC), Owen Wolff (ATX), Martín Ojeda (ORL), Luis Suárez (MIA), Kevin Kelsy (POR) along with Gutiérrez.
