Chicago Fire FC is set to play Inter Miami CF in a rescheduled match at Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday, September 30. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be available for viewing globally through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, with local broadcasts on wlsam.com in English and Que Buena Fire via the Uforia App in Spanish.

The Fire currently hold ninth place in the Eastern Conference with 48 points. A win against Inter Miami would secure their place in the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs. Additionally, it would mark their ninth away victory of the season, setting a new club record for most away wins in a single year.

Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has made three changes to the lineup that secured a second consecutive shutout with a 2-0 win over Columbus Crew on September 27 at Soldier Field. "Three changes have been made to the Starting XI that earned a second straight shutout in a 2-0 victory over Columbus Crew on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Soldier Field," according to the club's announcement.

Maren Haile-Selassie will start as right wingback, replacing Leonardo Barroso due to a lower body injury. This will be Haile-Selassie’s 28th appearance this season and his first start since July 19 against CF Montréal. Jonathan Dean moves into the left wing position after coming off the bench to take three shots—two on target—in the previous match against Columbus Crew. Dean is making his career-high 17th start this year and has recorded four assists so far.

Rominigue Kouamé replaces Philip Zinckernagel in midfield, marking his fifth start of the season and first since July 19. Kouamé joins Jonathan Bamba, who continues as part of the midfield lineup.

Defender Andrew Gutman was selected for the MLS Team of the Matchday following his game-winning goal against Columbus Crew and will make his 32nd start this year, taking over for Sam Rogers who is suspended due to yellow card accumulation. Joel Waterman, last week’s Fire representative to the MLS Team of the Matchday, resumes his role alongside captain Jack Elliott in defense.

Chris Brady starts as goalkeeper for his 90th career match and aims for his third consecutive clean sheet after achieving a career-high eleventh win of the season last week.

André Franco and Dje D’Avilla continue their partnership in midfield with Franco recently providing his fourth assist for Chicago Fire FC during Saturday's match, while D’Avilla makes his eighth consecutive start as holding midfielder.

Forward Hugo Cuypers starts for the 31st time this season after scoring his seventeenth goal of the campaign; another goal would tie him with Ante Razov (2000) for second-most goals scored by a player in one Fire season.

Unavailable players include Leonardo Barroso and Viktor Radojević due to lower body injuries, Sam Rogers (suspension), and Chris Mueller (not injury-related). Substitutes include Jeff Gal (goalkeeper); Omar González and Justin Reynolds (defenders); Philip Zinckernagel, Brian Gutiérrez, Kellyn Acosta, Mauricio Pineda, Sergio Oregel Jr. (midfielders); and Tom Barlow (forward).
