Committee for Open Government owes $16,275 in fines

The campaign committee Committee for Open Government owes a $5,000 fine imposed on Jan. 6, 2014, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $11,275 with Philip Rogers listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 143 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $863,080 in pending fines.
