CITY ROCK: Learn about Scientific Dissection June 25

City Rock issued the following announcement on June 8.

Registrations are open for a Dissection Day for teen learners at the Rock Island Public Library's Southwest Library location.

The free event takes place from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Monday, June 25 at the Rock Island Southwest Library, 9010 Ridgewood Road, Rock Island. Guest science educator Andrea Martinez will lead teens ages 12 to 18 in a hands-on dissection lab. Teens can examine the inner workings of eyeballs, hearts, and more.

The library is offering eight weeks of free "Libraries Rock" events for teens, as well as reading challenges designed to keep teens reading and learning over the summer.Libraries Rock brings you summer reading challenges, learning fun, and free events for all ages at Rock Island Libraries from June 1 to July 21
