alderman candidate Brendan Reilly returns $4,400 contribution from Nicholas Karavites

The campaign committee of alderman candidate Brendan Reilly, Citizens for Alderman Reilly, returned a $4,400 contribution from Nicholas Karavites on April 23, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Karavites has not made any other contributions to Brendan Reilly in the past 12 months.
