Old Town home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Old Town, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $58,000 while total sales remained unchanged with 86 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 86 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,750 - a 15.3% decrease over the $378,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 86 homes sold in Old Town in the second quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Old Town for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,622.70, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
