May is National Stroke Awareness Month. Dr. Demetrius Lopes, a stroke expert and director of the stroke program at Advocate Health Care, wants to remind you that when it comes to stroke, every minute counts. Call 911 as soon as you or someone in your household experiences any of these symptoms:
B - Balance: Loss of coordination
E - Eyes: Having trouble seeing
F - Face: One-sided face droop
A - Arms: A raised arm drifts downward
S - Speech: Slurred or strange speech
T - Terrible Headache: Sudden severe pain
