Illinois State House District 78 issued the following announcement on July 6
Second Installment Cook County property tax bills will start to arrive in mailboxes today and property owners have until October 1, 2020, to pay without any late charge, Treasurer Maria Pappas said.
The Second Installment is due August 3, but property owners can pay without any interest charge through October 1, 2020.
In addition, Treasurer Pappas is hosting a weekly, half-hour segment on WVON/1690-AM called Black Houses Matter. The Treasurer answers homeowners’ questions about property taxes during the pilot program, which airs at 3:30 p.m. every Monday.
