The Blue Demons will hit the ground running at their first outdoor meet of the season on Saturday, April 9th. The action begins at Demirjian Park at 10:00 am C.T.
The women's 400m will be packed with DePaul athletes including Lorie Cashdollar, Maia Mays, Sonja Nagle, Jade Pope and Kiersten Walker. Walker finished 2nd in the 400m at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships last spring. In the field events, Noelle Malkamaki, Kindle Miles and Casey Mulvey will be competing in shot put, after impressive indoor seasons.
For the men, seven Blue Demons, Jaden Fishbein, Joe Knanishu, Shane Knanishu, Will Previdi, Lucas Orwig, Ryan Taylor and Jackson Thomas will be running the 1500m. After taking 3rd in the hammer throw at last season's BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Ben Litwin will compete in the hammer throw alongside Alex Bernstein and Thomas Goggin.
Other schools that will be in attendance are Illinois State, University of Illinois Chicago, Saint Louis, Northern Iowa, Loyola, Butler, Northwestern (W), Purdue and IUPUI.
