Narrative: The above offender was arrested on August 30, 2022, at 11:07 p.m., in the 1100 block of S. Michigan. Minutes earlier, officers were conducting a platform check at the Red Line station in the 0-100 block of E. Roosevelt (1st District), when they observed the offender obstructing access to the entrance/exit of the location. As officers approached, the offender fled into the street, causing traffic to come to a halt. Officers then observed the offender toss an object, which was recovered and determined to be a loaded firearm. The offender was placed into custody and charged accordingly.
