About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to property owners in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing) of recent burglary incidents. In each incident, the offender(s) entered a vacant residence using a key that was removed from a key lock box and then took kitchen appliances from within. These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below:
Incident locations and times:
• 7100 block of south Ingleside Ave. between October 13, 2022 at 12:00 A.M. and October 17, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.
• 6400 block of south Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. between October 24, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. and October 25, 2022 at 9:00 A.M.
• 7200 block of south Langley Ave. between October 28, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. and October 30, 2022 at 11:30 A.M.
What you can do:
• Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• Keep doors and windows secured
• Immediately repair any broken windows, doors, or locks
• If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for investigating detectives
• Make an agreement with your neighbors to watch each other's homes for suspicious activity
• If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
