About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the months of January. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into residence by ruse or force and take property from therein. In one incident, the offenders pose as repair workers, offering up services. When the victim is distracted, another offender enters the residence and takes property therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:

Incident times and locations:

• 3100 Block of West Pope John Paul II Drive on January 10, 2023 at 2:00PM.
•  2900 Block of South Arch Street on January 28, 2023 at 12:30PM.

**Offenders have been seen in a dark colored SUV

#1 - Female white Hispanic offender #2 - Male white Hispanic offender

What you can do:

•  Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
•  Report suspicious activity immediately
•  Keep doors and windows secured
•  Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks
•  If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for investigating detectives.
•  If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
•  If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
