Blue Demons visit longtime rival for nationally-televised matchup
DePaul visits longtime rival Marquette on Monday, Feb. 27 for an 8 p.m. tipoff inside the Al McGuire Center on the final day of the 2022-23 regular season. FS1 will provide the coverage with Matt Schumacker and Meghan McKeown on the call.

The Blue Demons are 15-15 on the season and 8-11 in BIG EAST games after dropping a back-and-forth classic against the fourth-ranked Connecticut Huskies on Saturday afternoon at Wintrust Arena. The setback marked DePaul's second loss to a ranked team in as many games with the combined margin being just six points.
Against UConn, Aneesah Morrow led four Blue Demons in double figures with a game-high 25 points in addition to eight rebounds. Morrow is the lone player nationally to average 25+ points per game and 12+ rebounds a game and is third nationally with 23 double-doubles this season. The sophomore forward is 36 points from breaking DePaul's single-season scoring mark which would stand for both men's and women's programs.
Junior guard Darrione Rogers is adding 17.4 points per contest while leading the Blue Demons in assists with 5.1 a game.
DePaul leads the BIG EAST in scoring (77.0), rebounds (41.1) and steals (9.1).
The Blue Demons have earned the seventh seed in the upcoming 2023 BIG EAST Tournament and will face 10th-seeded Providence in Friday's opening round.
About Marquette
Marquette enters Monday's matchup 19-9 and 12-7 in league play after picking up a 58-46 win over Xavier on Saturday in Cincinnati.
Against the Musketeers, three players finished in double figures with Jordan King leading the way with 19 points. King paces Marquette with 16.2 points per game while graduate student Chloe Marotta adds 14.5 points to go along with a team-best 9.0 rebounds.
Marquette boasts the best scoring defense in the league, holding opponents to just 56.7 points per game. In games played at the Al McGuire center this season, The Golden Eagles is 12-3.
No matter the result on Monday, Marquette has clinched a first-round bye for the 2023 BIG EAST Tournament and will be either the four or five seed.
The Series
Del leads the all-time series against Marquette, 49-34. The Golden Eagles have taken the last two matchups including a 72-63 decision on January 4 at Wintrust Arena.
Morrow had 24 points and 15 rebound in the setback in January while Anaya Peoples followed with 14 of her own.
