Illinois GOP candidate Frederick Walls warns of lawlessness and potential consequences

Frederick Walls, the Illinois GOP candidate for the 34th District House Representative, recently took to social media to voice his concerns about the escalating unrest and confrontations between Pro-Palestine protesters and law enforcement. Walls issued a stark warning on Facebook.

"Lawlessness will lead to martial law, martial law will lead to lockdowns and no free elections," Walls said.

His comments were in response to pro-Palestinian protests that occurred in midtown Manhattan on Christmas Day. These demonstrations prompted a Level Three mobilization request from the New York Police Department (NYPD).

“Numerous Fights Between Pro-Palestine Protesters and Police at a Large Protest #Manhattan l #NewYork,” Raws Alerts said on X.

“Currently, the New York Police Department has requested a Level Three mobilization for a large protest that is taking place in Midtown Manhattan, where Pro-Palestine protesters are reportedly engaging in fights with the police. Numerous altercations have broken out between the two resulting in reported injuries to multiple officers. The extent of the injuries is currently unknown at this time. Police have also Reportedly made multiple arrests.”

Walls' professional background includes working as a journeyman carpenter affiliated with Walsh Construction Company's union. He completed his high school education at Calumet and Hillcrest High Schools from 1986 to 1990. Following four years at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Trade School, Walls graduated successfully. Born and raised on Chicago's south side until he was 16 years old, he later relocated with his parents to Country Club Hills' suburban community, according to Kankakee Times.

The Illinois House District 34 encompasses Aroma Park, Burnham, Calumet City, Chicago, Ford Heights, Grant Park, Hopkins Park, Kankakee, Lansing, Lynwood, Momence, Sauk Village, South Holland, St. Anne, Sun River Terrace, Aroma, Bloom, Crete, Ganeer, Momence, Otto, Pembroke, St. Anne, Thornton, Washington, Yellowhead, Willowbrook and other areas. The district is currently represented by Democrat State Rep. Nicholas "Nick" Smith (D-Chicago).
