The Knights of Columbus Police Council will be participating in the 92nd Annual Chicago Police Department St. Jude March on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The event will take place on the east side of Soldier Field with assembly starting at 7:00 am on Museum Campus Drive and Solidarity Drive.

According to Dennis Fitzgerald, the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, St. Michael the Archangel, Chicago Police Council #12173, all are welcome to join the march to "Honor Our Fallen." Fitzgerald expressed pride in the council's unique position within the Knights of Columbus, stating, "We are the one and only Police council in the Knights of Columbus and of course we are very proud of that. This is truly a momentous annual event that will be long remembered by those that attend as you will see thousands and thousands of Law Enforcement Officers from City, County, State and Federal agencies ‘Honoring Our Fallen’."

Participants are encouraged to bring extended family members and friends to march alongside the Knights of Columbus. Free parking will be available at lots adjacent to Soldier Field, with signs and traffic details directing attendees to the parking area.

The St. Jude March is a significant event for law enforcement officers to pay tribute to their fallen comrades, and the participation of the Knights of Columbus Police Council adds a meaningful touch to the occasion.
