The Chicago Sky have successfully acquired the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. In a deal with Minnesota, the Sky agreed to relinquish Minnesota's right to swap their first-round pick in the 2026 draft. This trade follows the arrangement that allowed Chicago to move up to the No. 7 pick last year, where they selected Angel Reese. Through this new agreement, Minnesota will retain Chicago's 2026 draft position without a need to exchange their own.

"We believe the 2025 draft class is deep and we're excited about the flexibility we obtain by acquiring another first-round pick this year," said Jeff Pagliocca, the General Manager of the Sky. "The No. 11 pick represents another route to improve our roster."

Following this trade, the Sky's picks for the 2025 WNBA Draft are the No. 10 overall (first round), No. 11 overall (first round), No. 16 overall (second round), and No. 22 overall (second round). Looking ahead to 2026, Chicago will have the rights to swap Phoenix's first-round selection with Connecticut's, alongside holding two second-round picks and one third-round pick.

Chicago has received a 2025 first-round pick (No. 11 overall) from Minnesota, while Minnesota has received Chicago's 2026 first-round pick. Originally, Minnesota held the rights to swap its own pick for that of Chicago.
