Chicago Fire FC has announced that defender Christopher Cupps will join the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team for a training camp in June. The camp is scheduled from June 2 to June 10 in Valencia, Spain.

Cupps, who is 16 years old, became the 27th Homegrown Player for Chicago Fire FC when he signed his first-team contract on February 18, 2025. He made his Major League Soccer debut against Nashville SC on April 26, 2025. On May 31, he set a club record by becoming the youngest player to start a match for Chicago Fire during their game against Orlando City SC.

The U-17 USMNT head coach Gonzalo Segares, a former player of Chicago Fire, will guide the team through friendly matches against Sweden on June 5, Canada on June 7, and Japan on June 10. This marks the team's first camp since they qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar in 2025.

Cupps is among twelve players who participated in the Concacaf U-17 qualifiers held in Costa Rica this past February. Additionally, he is one of eight players who have been called up for all three training camps and qualifiers during this cycle.
