Chicago Fire FC II played to a 2-2 draw against New York City FC II at Belson Stadium in Queens, New York. This result marked the first draw of the year for Chicago Fire FC II.

The match began with an early goal from New York's Máximo Carrizo, who scored in the fifth minute following a pass from Jacob Arroyave. Chicago's Justin Reynolds came close to equalizing in the 18th minute but hit the crossbar after receiving a pass from Claudio Cassano.

In the second half, Chicago improved their possession but struggled to penetrate New York's defense until late in the game. Dean Boltz managed to score for Chicago in the 82nd minute after a series of deflections inside New York's box. In the 90th minute, Harold Osorio set up Jason Shokalook, who assisted Cassano for another goal, giving Chicago a brief lead.

New York responded during stoppage time when Sebastiano Musu executed a bicycle kick to level the score again. The match concluded with a shootout that saw New York secure an additional point.

Chicago Fire FC II will next face Columbus Crew 2 on June 1 at SeatGeek Stadium.
