U.S. Soccer has announced the schedule for the quarterfinals of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which will take place with two doubleheaders on July 8 and 9. All four matches will be streamed live on Paramount+, with simulcasts available on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
CBS Sports will continue its extensive coverage of the U.S. Soccer's Club Championship across both linear and digital platforms. The quarterfinal matchups are set to feature teams from Major League Soccer (MLS).
The schedule for Tuesday, July 8 includes Minnesota United FC facing Chicago Fire FC at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota at 8 p.m., followed by San Jose Earthquakes against Austin FC at PayPal Park in San Jose, California at 10:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 9, Philadelphia Union will play New York Red Bulls at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania at 7 p.m., while Nashville SC will compete against D.C. United at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee at 9 p.m.
The announcement follows last week's bracket draw for the final rounds of the tournament, placing eight remaining MLS teams into two groups and determining hosting priorities for the semifinals scheduled for September 16-17.
Increased investment by U.S. Soccer and its partners has resulted in a record $1 million purse for this year's competition, more than doubling last year's total figure. This includes a $600,000 prize for the champion.
Now in its 110th edition, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is open to professional and amateur teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer and is conducted on a single-game knockout basis. The winner of this year’s tournament will secure a spot in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup and have their name engraved on the Dewar Challenge Trophy.
Los Angeles Football Club is the defending champion after defeating Sporting Kansas City in last year's final to claim their first title.
