Chicago Fire FC and U.S. Soccer have announced that goalkeeper Chris Brady has been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team for an upcoming training camp. Brady will be stepping in for Patrick Schulte on the roster as the team prepares for international friendly matches in June.
Brady, who is 21 years old, signed his first team contract with Chicago Fire FC in March 2020 at the age of 16, becoming the club's 19th Homegrown Player. Since his debut against the New England Revolution on October 9, 2022, he has accumulated a total of 6,816 minutes on the field for Chicago Fire FC. During this time, he has started all 77 matches he played in, making 253 saves and achieving 16 clean sheets.
This marks Brady's first call-up to the senior national team. He has previously represented the United States at various youth levels including U-15 through U-23. In March 2024, he participated in an international training camp with the U-23 USMNT and contributed to a shutout victory against Guinea.
Brady played a significant role in helping the United States qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games during the Concacaf U-20 Championship held in July 2022. His performance earned him the Golden Glove award after maintaining four consecutive shutouts during the knockout stage.
The U.S. Men’s National Team will begin their training camp in Chicago starting June 1. They are scheduled to play Turkey on June 7 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. The match will start at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on TNT, truTV, and Telemundo Deportes while also being streamed on Max, Universo, and Peacock. Following this match, they will face Switzerland on June 10 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee with kickoff set for 7 p.m. CT.
