The Chicago Sky has announced that Kamilla Cardoso will be absent from the team as she joins the Brazilian National Team for the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Santiago, Chile, from June 28 to July 6.

The competition features ten teams divided into two groups of five. The top four teams will move on to the quarterfinals. Brazil, placed in Group A, is set to face Argentina on June 28.

Brazil holds a strong record in the AmeriCup with six titles, including their latest win in 2023. During that tournament, Cardoso was named MVP after scoring 20 points, securing 11 rebounds, and making three steals in the final game against the United States.

Fans can watch all AmeriCup games through FIBA's official YouTube channel.

Cardoso is anticipated to return to the Chicago Sky following Brazil's participation in the event.
