Chicago Fire FC winger Philip Zinckernagel has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 25. This recognition follows his performance in a 2-2 draw against Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Zinckernagel, an All-Star this season, recorded his tenth goal and ninth assist during the match.

The Danish player was instrumental in Chicago's early lead, scoring just seconds into the game after taking a corner kick that resulted in a goal. Later, he assisted in regaining the lead by setting up Maren Haile-Selassie for a successful shot.

This is Zinckernagel’s fourth league honor of the season. He previously appeared on the MLS Team of the Matchday Starting XI for Matchdays 21 and 7, and on the bench for Matchday 17. His performance has also secured him a spot on the 2025 MLS All-Star Team as selected by head coach Nico Estévez.

Other players featured in this week's Team of the Matchday include forwards Myrto Uzuni (ATX) and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (RBNY), among others. The team is coached by Pat Noonan from Cincinnati.

Chicago Fire will conclude their two-game road trip against CF Montréal at Stade Saputo on Saturday, July 19. The match will be available globally via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and locally through wlsam.com and Que Buena Fire via Uforia App.
