Chicago ward committeeman candidate Pat Dowell returns $1,500 contribution from Brown & Momen Inc.

The campaign committee of Chicago ward committeeman candidate Pat Dowell, Citizens for Pat Dowell, returned a $1,500 contribution from Brown & Momen Inc. on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Brown & Momen Inc. has not made any other contributions to Pat Dowell in the past 12 months.
