president candidate Toni Preckwinkle returns $400 contribution from Michael F. Hughes

The campaign committee of president candidate Toni Preckwinkle, Preckwinkle for President, returned a $400 contribution from Michael F. Hughes on Jan. 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Hughes has not made any other contributions to Toni Preckwinkle in the past 12 months.
