The campaign committee of president candidate Toni Preckwinkle, Preckwinkle for President, returned a $500 contribution from Walnut Street Properties Management on July 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Walnut Street Properties Management has not made any other contributions to Toni Preckwinkle in the past 12 months.
