CHICAGO – The Chicago Police Department is investigating an off-duty officer involved shooting on November 9, 2022 at approximately 8:16 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Laramie Avenue (25th District).
The off-duty officer was transported to an area hospital for observation and released. At this time, it’s unknown if there were any individuals injured in this shooting incident.
Currently, the specifics of this incident, including the comprehensive use of force investigation, are being investigated by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability with the full cooperation of the Chicago Police Department. The officer(s) involved will be placed on routine administrative duties for a period of 30 days.
