The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced traffic updates concerning ongoing repair projects on North and South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

From June 3 to June 4, northbound lanes from Lawrence Avenue to Hollywood Avenue will experience closures. Three lanes will be closed to traffic between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. On June 5 and June 6, the southbound lanes will also have closures, with three lanes affected from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additionally, from Belmont Avenue to Fullerton Avenue, southbound lane closures are scheduled from June 3 to June 7. Two lanes will be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with one lane remaining closed around the clock for repairs until noon on June 7.

On South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, between Roosevelt Road and 31st Street, northbound lane closures are planned from June 3 to June 6. Two lanes will be closed daily from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., while three lanes will be shut down from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Lane closure schedules and work timings might change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

CDOT advises drivers "to plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling on DLSD," suggesting alternate routes or public transportation where possible. Drivers are reminded "to pay close attention to flaggers and construction signage when entering and driving near work zones," urging them "to obey the posted speed limits, drive with extra caution, and be alert for workers and equipment."
