The Chicago Sky has announced the acquisition of forward Rebecca Allen from the Connecticut Sun. In exchange, the Sky will send Lindsay Allen and the rights to Nikolina Milić to Connecticut. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

“We want to first thank Lindsay for everything she did in Chicago for us last season,” said Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca. “She stepped up into a starting role and always went the extra mile to contribute, on and off the court. We wish her the best in her next chapter.”

Rebecca Allen, originally from Melbourne, Australia, played with Phoenix during the 2024 season but missed 22 games due to injury. Before joining Phoenix, she spent a season with Connecticut in 2023, participating in all 40 games and averaging 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.

Allen's career began with New York, where she played from 2015-19 and again from 2021-22. During her time there, she averaged 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds over 158 games.

In addition to her WNBA career, Allen has been part of Australia's National Team since 2014 and competed in various international tournaments.

“Bec is a versatile wing and a legitimate two-way player,” Pagliocca stated. “She has terrific length and is a proven threat from beyond the arc in our league. We cannot wait to welcome Bec to Skytown.”

Lindsay Allen played all regular-season games for Chicago in 2024, starting in a career-high number of them while averaging notable statistics.

The Sky had previously acquired Milić through an exchange with Minnesota in which they received a draft pick.

Chicago will begin its regular season on May 17 against Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
