Chicago Sky and Weigel Broadcasting Co.'s WCIU, The U have announced an exclusive broadcast partnership, making WCIU, The U the official television home for the Chicago Sky. This channel is accessible on various platforms including Channel 26.1, XFINITY 183/1026, DirecTV 26, Dish 26, Astound TV 6, Spectrum Charter 22/616, U-Verse 10/1010, and YouTube TV.
WCIU, The U will air over 30 live Sky games in the upcoming season. These broadcasts will be available on multiple platforms such as over-the-air television, cable, satellite services, and streaming options.
Adam Fox, President and CEO of Chicago Sky expressed enthusiasm about the partnership stating: “We are thrilled to partner with Weigel to broaden Chicago Sky’s local and regional broadcast coverage and make it easier for fans to find and view games over the air and across WCIU, The U platforms.” He also extended gratitude to Weigel for their support.
Steve Farber, Senior Vice President of Weigel commented on the collaboration: “We are delighted to build our relationship with the Chicago Sky. Basketball fans in Chicago and throughout the Midwest will be able to watch the WNBA’s best on broadcast television and across viewing platforms.”
The release of the local broadcast schedule for the 2025 WNBA season is pending. Meanwhile, efforts are being made by Weigel to work with additional broadcasters to expand free access to these games beyond Chicagoland.
The Chicago Sky will commence their regular season on Saturday, May 17 against the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse at noon CT. Updates can be followed on social media or via sky.wnba.com where ticket information is also available.
