The Chicago Sky have announced the acquisition of two 2025 second-round draft picks from Las Vegas in exchange for Dana Evans. The draft picks include the No. 16 overall pick, obtained via Washington, and the No. 22 overall pick. Details of the transaction were not disclosed as per team policy.

General Manager Jeff Pagliocca expressed gratitude towards Evans for her contributions over four years with the team. "We want to thank Dana for her four years with the Sky," he stated. He also acknowledged her potential for future growth and wished her success in Las Vegas. "She will forever be a WNBA Champion and we wish her continued success in Las Vegas."

Pagliocca highlighted the strategic advantage of acquiring these draft picks, stating that they provide an opportunity to add young talent to their roster alongside their existing third and tenth overall picks, thereby strengthening their draft capital for 2025.

Evans joined the Sky in 2021 from Dallas and played 140 games, averaging 6.2 points and 2.0 assists per game over four seasons. In the 2024 season, she participated in 39 games, starting in 12 of them, and achieved career highs including a three-point shooting percentage of 37.6%. She was recognized as part of the WNBA All-Rookie Team and AP All-Rookie Team in her first year with Chicago.

The Sky's current draft assets for the upcoming 2025 WNBA Draft now include first-round picks at third and tenth overall (the latter from Connecticut), along with second-round picks at sixteenth (from Las Vegas via Washington) and twenty-second overall (from Las Vegas).

Chicago is set to begin its regular season on May 17 against Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
