In the mind of SUNY Alfred history professor Nicholas Waddy, the verdict is already in when it comes to the growing sex abuse scandal swirling around New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.“There’s not going to be any clear resolution to this case,” Waddy said during a recent appearance on Chicago’s Morning Answer.Though hardly a Cuomo fan, Waddy admits that’s a verdict he could come to live with, at least over the short term.“I’m a conservative and a Republican and the truth is the GOP is on life support in New York and we need a train wreck of governor like Cuomo to breathe new life into party and give us an outside chance,” he said.
