The Chicago City Council has approved an ordinance to amend its existing land redevelopment agreement with Habitat for Humanity Chicago. The amendment adds a single lot at 7149 S Dobson Ave to the ongoing agreement in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.

This decision builds on a previous agreement, which was authorized by the City Council on February 23, 2022. According to the Department of Housing (DOH), the developer plans to combine the newly added lot with an adjacent property at 7151 S Dobson Ave, which is already included in the agreement. The goal is to create a lot large enough for home construction.

The lots covered under this agreement were acquired by Habitat for Humanity Chicago from Revere Community Housing Development LLC.
